Audio / Digital Transcription

This method of transcription is becoming increasingly popular, the principles are the same as with mini / micro cassettes, i.e. that you record in the same way but the difference being that the information is not saved to a cassettes but to a sound file.

The format can be DSS (Digital Speech Standard) or WAV (Waveform Audio file). All you do is plug the digital recorder into your PC and then download the sound file onto your PC and send this by email to us for transcription. (Please see FAQ’s for further information on Digital Dictation)

Some of the advantages of using digital dictation:-

If sending dictation by post you will not have to worry about this getting lostBy sending dictation by email you do not have to worry about postage, tapes getting damaged and it is with us in no time at all.
